"There's
Always Tomorrow"
There
have been times in my life
That I wanted to die,
And other times when I wished
I'd never been born.
All those lonely, sleepless nights
Spent trying not to cry.
But tears would stain my pillow
Before the early morn.
There have been times that I've felt
Life is not worth the livin'
It would have been so easy to end it all.
But my heart has not been pierced
By a bullet driven.
Nor has my body been smashed
By a tremendous fall.
No, my wrist has not been slashed
By razor or by knife.
Yea, though I've had more than my share
Of both pain and sorrow,
And many times I've wanted to,
I did not end my life.
Because I am wise and I know
There's always tomorrow.
